Polaris from Spaceman is a medium-gain overdrive pedal with a selectable filter for creating effortlessly customizable tones. The overdrive functions as expected with a Drive control controlling the amount of overdrive. Filter is where things get interesting and offers either a single pole low pass filter, 2-pole filter for deep cuts, and finally a 2-pole resonant filter for extreme tone shaping. Using the Initial control, you can blend the non-filtered overdrive with the filtered signal to get a perfect balance. Use an expression pedal or CV source to control the filter frequency for even more interactive performances. Polaris from Spaceman is a versatile tool for any situation.
