There are eleven tracks in total for sound creation, with each one serving a different purpose; tracks one through nine are dedicated to the drum machine engine, offering both percussion synthesis and sampling for bringing a varied sound palette to your beats. An additional stereo sampler track is provided for processing and looping samples to create the rhythmic ambience your beats will groove underneath. There are ten banks of factory sounds—130 sounds in total—but external samples can be recorded onto the deconstruct MINIMAL via the 3.5mm input, or sent over USB-C with the audio I/O, or direct data transfer.

Build complex tracks in an instant with the versatile sequencer, providing a spectrum of different controls for making your beats feel alive and human (or not-so-human as your taste may dictate). The subtleties of how the sequencer behaves can be affected with the Feel parameter, which allows you to choose between Minimal, 808, and 909 behaviors, with the latter two faithfully emulating the timing and pitch drifting of the world's most legendary drum machines. Bring exciting low end to your tracks with the dedicated bass engine, providing analog modeled waveforms and acid-style ladder filtering for a wide variety of different low frequency textures and timbres. Add anything from warm, organic bass sounds to cutting acid squelches to your grooves with the fully featured synthesis engine.
