Sonicsmith Squaver P1+

The Squaver P1+ is a revolutionary synthesizer that can be controlled by incoming audio. The new technology created by Sonicsmith analyzes incoming audio and derives the frequency and volume information to then control the internal synthesizer. To ensure accurate tracking of oscillator with the incoming audio, there is a high quality and clean preamp that can provide up to 40dB gain. If the incoming audio is frequency band specific, two filters can get rid of extra frequencies that might confuse the audio analyzer.

The synth engine itself includes the audio controlled oscillator, a VCA, controlled by the volume of the incoming audio via an envelope follower, and a VCF. There is also an external input for an audio signal to ring modulate the ACO.
