The Prophet 12 LE from Sequential is a powerful 12-voice synthesizer with loads of special features. Infinitely more than an amalgamation of the Poly Evolver and Prophet ’08, this beast mobilizes the efficiency of digital technology with all the power of analog circuitry. Each of its boisterous voices features 4 oscillators, a sub-oscillator, 1 lowpass Curtis filter, 1 highpass filter, and a constellation of analog VCAs. On top of that, the Prophet LE’s voices enjoy their own digital character sections with 5 pristine effects geared towards comprehensive and subtle manipulation of an incoming audio signal. Need modulation? No problem—the Prophet LE has 4 LFOs per voice as well as an arpeggiator that can be clocked internally or externally.

In terms of sonic characteristic, all of this beast’s oscillators can be cross-modulated for advanced amplitude and frequency modulation endeavors. Combining this with the aforementioned control sections opens the door to confounding possibilities.
