Sebsongs Modular Rhythmatic

Rhythmatic from Sebsongs Modular brings a six-voice analog drum machine to your Eurorack system, complete with onboard sequencer and performance oriented controls for making variations on the fly. Including bass drum, snare, low conga, rim shot, high hat, and cymbal voices derived from a vintage classic, the CR-78. Like the original, the Rhythmatic features an onboard sequencer with multiple stored patterns, including both the original patterns as well as a handful of new rhythms. Select patterns manually with the pattern knob or keep things shifting with CV pattern control, while clock and reset inputs alongside tempo and swing controls enable flexibility for internal or external synchronization.

The large central knob on Rhythmatic offers a highly playable interface for injecting randomness into each pattern, randomly subtracting or adding hits to the left or right of center position. This is ideal for making fills and breaking down patterns over time, especially in conjunction with the Random CV input for CV-automated manipulation. Holding the shift button, the Random knob becomes a 4-bar loop recorder, allowing you to loop rhythmic sections which record both pattern changes and movement of the random knob.

For individual voice controls, Rhythmatic offers muting for each voice, enabling you to curate your ensemble to the needs of the musical moment. The jacks beneath each voice's mute button can be independently configured as either trigger inputs for the voices or trigger outputs for that voice's sequencer track, enabling a wide range of integrations with external modules. Bass and snare voices feature manual controls for tuning and decay, while the cymbal voice provides only decay control.
