The Rupert Neve Designs Portico 5012 is a dual channel mic preamp that utilizes custom in/out transformer designs to achieve a sound reminiscent of the classic Neve consoles. Each of the unit’s channels contains an independently-selectable phase, mute control, phantom power, and sweepable high-pass filter with added silk circuit for additional warmth and presence. 

The microphone input utilizes a TLA amplifier configuration with a low-pass filter designed specifically for excluding frequencies exceeding 150kHz. Precluding the TLA is an input transformer that allows for a +25dBu input signal to be processed with unity gain without the need for an input pad. 

The 5012 was designed especially for low-noise operation and produces relatively minimal non-harmonic distortion. This is the HORIZONAL version of the module, specifically designed to be mounted in a conventional 19” horizontal rack.

• High Pass Filter: Swept Frequency continuously variable from 20Hz to 250Hz
• Slope: 12dB/Octave
• Gain: Switched Gain from Unity to +66dB in 6dB steps
• "Trim": Continuously adjustable potentiometer from -6dB to +6dB with reference to setting on the Gain Switch.
• Balanced and Floating Transformer Output from 20Hz to 40kHz: +25 dBu. (Clips at just over +26 dBu)
• Mute: Mutes Main Output only. (i.e. Monitor remains "Live")
• External 15V Supply included with every Portico Series module
