Roland has done it again, taking a classic and revamping it for use in their Boutique series of desktop synthesizers. Based off of what is arguably the most important drum machine ever produced, the TR-808, Roland has meticulously modeled every component with their ACB technology making the TR-08. Vintage TR-808s can climb to prices in the thousands, and now one can have a playable piece of hardware for a fraction of the used price. Not only that, but it also includes USB/MIDI connection and a Trigger Out for synchronizing with other modular gear. Maintaining the sound quality and play-ability of the original, the TR-08 is the next step.
