Rides in the Storm XDR

XDR from Rides in the Storm is a ring modulator with both diode and XOR outputs, a noise source, and a cross fader to mix both ring modulator outputs. Offering a ton of waveshaping potential in just 4HP, this helpful ring mod and clipping circuit is great for bringing out greater timbral variety from basic oscillator shapes. In addition to these shapers, a noise source is available with its own output and a switch to normal the noise into the ring modulator, enabling dastardly metallic drum synthesis and more.

Adding even more shaping potential, the XDR's XOR output features a voltage controlled high pass filter with 6db slope, letting you focus in on those buzzy harmonics created through the clipping stage. A fantastic pairing alongside one or more oscillators, as well as a useful logic utility for CV and gate signals, XDR from Rides in the Storm is an accessible addition to any case that you'll surely find a use for in almost any patch.
