Wonky from Random Works is a two channel clock divider and modifier that takes a gate signal and manipulates it through division, probability, timing offset, and ratchets. It operates in three modes, delay, ratchet, and probability. The function of the Amount slider depends on the currently selected mode. The Every knob acts as a clock divider with divisions from one to sixteen. This subdivides the incoming clock, changing which clock pulses Wonky affects in lieu of acting on every single one. Delay adds a timing offset between the input clock and the output, nudging the clock off the grid for swung and alternating patterns. Ratchet creates up to eight additional triggers per beat, great for hi-hat patterns or snare rolls. Probability randomly skips clocks to create rhythmic variation from steady clocks. The clock input on the left side is normalled to the clock input on the right side, but the two channels are otherwise independent in mode, parameter amount, and clock division. The Every and Amount knobs feature CV inputs to automate the rhythmic variations for evolving patterns. Why use boring clocks when you can get Wonky rhythms?
