Rainy Day Electronics' Cumulus is a 4 track loopscaper that gives you more than just loop playback, unleashing your sample-based creativity like never before. At its core, you have four tracks that all share the same audio, but treat it in vastly different ways thanks to the versatile modulation and customization options. Each track has basic sampling playback controls that you would expect: start and stop points, playback speed, and dynamics; the real fun, however, is that each track has an independent modulation matrix, letting you assign the two LFOs, Mod Envelope, Amp Envelope, Velocity, Aftertouch, Keytracking, and MIDI CC74 to just about any parameter. With selectable waveshapes and speeds, the LFOs can be used to create subtle and wild movements with the turn of an encoder.

Effortlessly sculpt each loop's sound with the independent and linkable stereo filters. Each of these filters can, of course, be addressed by the LFOs, making quick work of expressive modulated phrases. You also get a global low pass filter and glorious reverb, adding a final touch of sculpting and sparkle to your sound. Sample directly into the Cumulus via the 3.5mm input or internal microphone, and set the device into Live mode for effect-like behavior, perfect for adding crystalline granular shimmers and unpredictable surprises. Navigating the device is a breeze with four push encoders, a touch screen, and capacitive touch plates for selecting the tracks and parameter banks.
