The Presonus FireStudio Project is a versatile FireWire interface featuring six microphone/line-level inputs and two microphone/instrument inputs. All inputs feature integrated XMAX™ Class A solid-state preamps. What’s more, each mic/inst channel includes an insert loop for incorporating outboard effects.
The interface’s rear panel includes eight general purpose outputs and L/R main outs. The only difference between the two is that the FireStudio Project’s primary value knob controls the output level of the main outs.
For those requiring digital I/O, the FireStudio Project also sports stereo S/PDIF and MIDI I/O for enhanced connectivity options. Multiple units can even be chained together for even more inputs and outputs.
