Pope Audio's PRE-BX is a 500 series preamp module that features a built-in Baxandall EQ and XLR-combo jack making this perfect for Hi-Z or mic signals. To stay compact, the EQ uses a dual concentric pot and it features a bypass switch to either engage or disengage the circuit. The Gain has a 1:1 or 3:1 output attenuator—accessible via front-mounted switch—that allows you to drive the Carnhill transformer, for a little extra color. A great sounding preamp that doesn't need any bells or whistles (though it will happily accept all sorts of percussive and tonal instruments), the PRE-BX from Pope Audio does everything you want from a preamp.
