Feber from Pladask Elektrisk is a unique effect which combines ring modulation, phasing, and tremolo to create captivating and alien timbres from any signal. Central to Feber's sound is the combination of a ring modulator pair and a Hilbert transform approximation, the latter of which enables single sideband modulation, creating a rare ring modulation effect with only one additional frequency instead of both sum and difference tones. This allows for inharmonic frequency content to be introduced readily, summoning alien utterances and robotic gesticulations. With its onboard sample and hold circuit, these tones may sputter frenetically under the control of stepped or slewed random modulation.

Switchable frequency ranges for the ring modulation effect allow for low frequency modulation that produces phasing, which along with the low pass filter tone control, adds even more flexibility to this impressively strange and wonderful signal processor. While Feber's numerous controls allow for fantastically flexible finger manipulations, dedicated footswitches for bypass and engaging the random modulation, along with an expression control input for frequency, provide performable controls from any playing position.
