Perfect Circuit’s Glitch Series Standard system is one of the coolest systems we could envision in 104hp. Built with edgy digital sound generation and rhythmic sequencing in mind, this system is a complete instrument capable of everything from generative soundscapes to full-blown rhythmic performances. Built in a Make Noise powered skiff, this system is delivered ready-to-use: just patch it up and prepare for digital insanity.

The system’s primary sound generators are the Mysteron and Loquelic Iteritas. The Make Noise Mysteron offers novel timbres by employing waveguide synthesis: a crude form of physical modeling that by nature creates percussive and plucked sounds without the need for additional envelopes and VCAs. This coupled with its built-in “mutation” algorithms and duophonic topology makes the Mysteron a powerful tool for creating both clean and glitched-out percussion and string-like sounds. The Noise Engineering Loquelic Iteritas is a three-algorithm oscillator, employing peculiar synthesis methods such as VOSIM, Summation Synthesis, and Phase Modulation. The Erica Pico VCF3 provides Moog-like filtering, and the Make Noise Dynamix acts as two-channel LPG and mixer capable of audio-rate modulation. The WMD Geiger Counter is a gnarly bitcrusher and wavetable effect, capable of turning any incoming signal into a brutal digital mess. And of course, the Erica Pico DSP adds a layer of stereo processing for adding reverbs, delays, and more to the sound.

The Glitch Series Standard’s CV generation is every bit as nuanced as its audio path. Sequencing is handled by the Qu-Bit Octone and Malekko Varigate 4+. The Octone is an intuitive, on-the fly note and gate sequencer perfect for repeating melodic lines. The Varigate 4+ is a gate and pitch sequencer capable of probability-based sequencing, polyrhythms, and other intricate behaviors—it excels at evolving rhythms and stuttery, glitchy breaks. The Malekko AD/LFO is an ideal partner for the Varigate and Octone, offering six envelope generators or LFOs for animation throughout your system. The WMD / SSF Modbox is a modulation powerhouse, offering two functionally distinct LFOs, noise source, and sample & hold. And of course, the Harvestman's Kermit dual modulation source is an absolutely insane wavetable LFO/VCO capable of operating in low and high frequency ranges.
