Perfect Circuit’s Glitch Series Intermediate system is a powerful platform for exploring some of the digital madness available in Eurorack format. Preassembled in a Make Noise powered skiff with room to grow, the Glitch Station Intermediate system is an excellent vessel for exploring the vast sonic potential of digital synthesis pushed to its limits.

The system’s sonic cornerstones are the vicious Make Noise Mysteron and tiny powerhouse Sinc Iter. Built around a unique waveguide algorithm, the Mysteron offers two voices of Karplus Strong-like synthesis, great for everything from clean plucks to deformed digital sputters. The Sinc Iter is a three-algorithm oscillator from Noise Engineering with built-in quantizer and an enormous frequency range, making it an excellent choice for colorful audio or modulation. The Erica Synths Pico VCF3 adds Moog-like filtering and the Make Noise Dynamix offers quick-response lowpass gates and dynamics management and mixing, allowing everything from organic gates to intense AM. And of course, the Erica Pico Output allows easy connection of the system to headphones, recording gear, and live PAs.

This system’s CV and timing generation is as powerful as its sound creation. With a Malekko Varigate 4+, one can explore complex note sequences, rhythms, and probability-based event sequencing. In complement, the 2hp Seq offers melodic sequencing for creating basslines, repeating leads, and more. A WMD / SSF Modbox offers two flexible LFOs, noise, and sample & hold, and a Malekko AD/LFO provides six envelopes or LFOs for animating sounds. The enormous flexibility of these modules makes this system perfect for all kinds of music: melodic sequences, aleatoric computer malfunction sounds, generative soundscapes, and more.
