Perfect Circuit East Coast Standard System
Perfect Circuit's East Coast Standard system is a shockingly powerful system in 104hp. While this system was assembled around the basic architecture of classic monosynths, it was curated with flexibility in mind. This system will do everything from dense leads, sequenced basslines, gargantuan drones, and generative patches. Assembled in a discreet Make Noise powered skiff, the East Coast Standard system is excellent for keyboardists, studio composers, performers, and sonic adventurers looking for an impressively powerful synth with a small footprint.
Featuring three analog oscillators, two filters, and two VCAs, this system is capable of not only standard monosynth sounds, but also duophony and novel layered textures. The system's core is comprised of two WMD / SSF Spectrum VCOs, one Intellijel Dixie II+ VCO, the fantastically fizzy Mutable Instruments Ripples filter, and the gooey Moog-like AJH MiniMod Transistor Ladder Filter. The Intellijel uVCA acts as a super clean dual VCA, keeping the pristine sound of the filters and oscillators intact. The Erica Synths Pico DSP allows for the addition of classic DSP effects such as delays, reverbs, rotary speaker effects, and more.
The system also features a very flexible set of modulation sources. The WMD / SSF ModBox is a dual LFO and sample & hold, excellent for providing a control source for vibrato, Frequency Modulation, Amplitude Modulation, PWM, filter FM, and more. A Make Noise Contour acts as keyboard-style envelope generator, adding articulation to the sound, while an Erica Synths Pico Mod features integrated envelope and VCA, allowing further layering of voices or dynamic scaling of CV. And of course, a system would not be complete without ways to interface with one’s established workflow. The Intellijel uMIDI MIDI to CV converter allows integration of MIDI gear, while the Qu-Bit Octone offers intuitive sequencing within the modular. An Erica Synths Pico Output offers headphone connectivity and scales outbound signals to play nicely with audio interfaces or live PAs.
The East Coast Standard is a shape-shifting system: based on classic monosynth architecture, but with the capability of breaching far past the sounds and technique of a Minimoog or Odyssey. With its small footprint and immediate connectivity, the East Coast Standard system is equipped to add incredible analog sound to any workflow.
