Olivia Artz Modular Spoke of Fortune

Spoke of Fortune, designed by six and brought to us by Olivia Artz Modular, is a resettable D-latch with clock input and multiple outputs, bringing a number of flexible functions to any Eurorack modular system. At the top of the module, the clock input detects rising edges around three volts, and sends the signal present at the Data input (D) to the Data output (Q). This core functionality is essentially a sample and hold, but incorporating the other inputs and outputs enables more complex arrangements. The inverse Q output sends a binary inverse of the signal at Q, while the Trigger output sends a short trigger whenever Q jumps from low to high. Finally, a reset input sets Q immediately to zero volts.

Using these functions together with other gate generators and CV sources, as well as with self-patched connections, you can create all sorts of useful logic functions. Patch inverse Q to D and send clock to the C input for a simple clock divider and suboctave generator. Quantize chaotic rhythms to a stable pulse, pair it with additional clock utilities to derive euclidean rhythms, and explore timbral effects with multiple oscillators sent to each input. Additional configurations can be set with the normalization headers on the back of the module depending on the functionality you need.
