Crum Drum from Nystrom Instruments is a 4 voice generative percussion machine that welcomes chaos and sounds great doing so. With Kick, Snare, Hi Hat, and Bass voices, you can generate a veritable cornucopia of sounds from strictly rhythmic to idiosyncratic with just a few knob twists. Simply adjust the BPM to taste, flip the switch for whichever sequence length you're looking for—from 16, 32, or 28 steps—press start, and go. A Beat button lets you change the parameters on the active step allowing for real-time playability that comes alive in performance.

Use the right side of the device to adjust the voices on the fly to dial in your perfect rhythmic experience. Using the instrument selector knob, go to the voice you want to adjust and play with the frequency, decay, and other tonal colorations. This includes a Random knob that will allow for sonic variation and a Probability knob that lets you adjust how often you hear the sound in the sequence. Connect to the rest of your studio with ease thanks to the CV input and USB MIDI.
