Noise Engineering Horologic Solum
Horologic - Discrete time; from Latin horo "time" and Latin "logic": "Logical time"
Solum  - Live usage; from Latin "ground": "sequence"
The Horologic Solum, from Noise Engineering, is a compact master clock module and clock divider. It has a main tempo knob, which can be disabled to lock to an external clock. Four individual gate outputs are available, with a three position switch deciding how the clock divider responds. The three modes are Multiples of 2, Primes, and Multiples of 4, with the top output always dedicated to be the master clock. When paired with the expander, Horologic Uter, there are 7 extra clock outputs.Â
