MoogSound Studio - DFAM & Subharmonicon Semi-Modular Synthesizer Bundle
- No Hassle
Moog Sound Studio
From the good people at Moog comes a bundle of synthesis fun: the Sound Studio, a fun way to explore modular synthesizer concepts in a personal or educational setting using the much-loved Subharmonicon and DFAM. These synthesizers present a semi-modular signal path with hardwired connections to produce sounds with no patch cables, but you can customize the settings with a collection of patch points.
The DFAM is a percussion voice that breaks out of the traditional architecture of a drum machine. Start exploring the world of subharmonics and polyrhythms with the unique synthesis paradigm of the Subharmonicon. The included two-tiered rack mount kit arranges the two synthesizers one on top of the other, making playing and patching easy.
Moog included a collection of patch cables to make connections in the semi-modular synthesizers, as well as a cable holder to keep them organized and out of the way when not in use. The mixer serves double duty as both a four-channel audio mixer and a three-channel power supply for the synthesizers. Getting started is easy—thanks to the included guidebook's exercises and patch examples alongside educational games, this bundle is a spectacular way to facilitate learning and understanding of synthesis concepts from the ground up.
If you or a loved one are looking to get started with modular synthesis, Moog's Sound Studio bundle works wonderfully as a fun and engaging introduction to synthesis concepts. And of course, it also makes a great addition to an established music workflow!
