Harken back to the original days of electronic music with Moog's Etherwave Standard theremin—a timeless, expressive electronic instrument now over 90 years old. Famed as "the only instrument you play without touching," the theremin provides continuous analog control of its volume and pitch via two antennae: the farther one draws their hand away from the loop antenna, the louder the instrument gets—the closer to the other antenna, the higher the pitch produced. Capable of everything from "I Feel Love" sweeps, sci-fi sound effects, and Pamelia Stickney / Carolina Eyck-level virtuosity and expression, the theremin has persisted for a reason aside from its novelty: it is an elegant, deep, and powerful instrument.
