The Thicken from Malekko can make any guitar sound massive! It features a preamp stage, two in-line delays, and a separate chorus. These elements can yield rich, deep, and (if need be) nuanced chorus tones, but at higher Preamp and Spread times the pedal produces characteristically brittle and far-out sounds. For true shoegazers, the Thicken also has a Random mode, which causes automatic modulation of the Spread parameter and leads to even wilder behavior.
