Make Noise QMMG

The Make Noise QMMG is back: the celebrated four-channel, vactrol-laden Quad Multi Mode Gate is available once again in highly limited quantities. Expanding on the concepts in Don Buchla's Model 292 Quad Lo Pass Gate, the QMMG offers VCA, LPG, Low Pass Filter, and High Pass Filter responses, including resonance control. So this goes far beyond bongo tones, well into the realm of smooth sweeps, acid filter squelch, and screaming MS-20-esque resonance.Created with eight vactrols, no two modules—and sometimes channels within the same module—are the same, a property that makes the QMMG incredibly musical, personal and creative. Each channel features an analog potentiometer, in place of the legacy rotary switches, to change the function of each channel from VCA through low pass gate to low pass filter and high pass filter. The outer channels are normalled to the inner channels, making it incredibly easy to create dual peak filters, band pass filters, double gating effects, or an East Coast-style filter and VCA combo to complete your full synth voice. A Sum output lets you mix all the channels together, but channels are removed from this mix if their individual channel outputs are patched. Controls for a volume/filter sweep and feedback/resonance—with availability depending on the selected mode—are all CV controllable.
