Leaf Audio Microphonic Soundbox Mk2

The Microphonic Soundbox from Leaf Audio is an experimental instrument that provides a wealth of sonic capabilities and interesting new ways to sculpt sounds. With two enclosed contact mics paired with battery-powered, super low-noise preamps, the Microphonic Soundbox allows you to scratch, tap, knock, bow, and perform any other technique you'd like to achieve maximum creativity. The wooden architecture is built to incorporate the included sandpaper, metal springs, and rods, and a special kalimba made from carbon strips, plus with an extra 1/4" Hi-Z input you get a great source of amplification for adding guitars, basses, or even other contact mics.

That said, the Microphonic Soundbox is capable of incorporating found items with the included wooden side mount, offering customization at no extra cost. Some improvements to the second version include improved audio quality and frequency range, LED color indications for battery management, an additional 1/4" output, and attenuation on the entire output signal. Perfect for standalone use or sampling and processing, the Microphonic Soundbox is a sonic oyster waiting to be opened.
