A dedicated stereo and mid/side processor can create a wonderful stereo image, and the Triple Discrete Midside VC-EQ/Resonator from L-1 is a premium module that can create such an audio field, as well as function as a voice. Split into two identical parts, each side gives you a 3-band EQ or resonator with independent controls for the Frequency, Bandwidth, and Level. Channel 1 and 2 on both sides switch between low/hi-shelf or bell shape and a shared switch adjusts the functionality from Dual Mono, to Stereo, to Mid/Side. The three bands can independently be set into self-oscillation mode, which engages a 1v/oct trimming for performing as a voice when no input is present. With an input present, the shared input knob features an overload LED to prevent clipping. CV controls over all three bands simultaneously or individually gives you precision to add subtle movement or create phaser/flanger type effects.
