The FT-201, from Koma Elektronik, is an intuitive analog multimode filter with enhanced modulation capabilities, including a 10-step sequencer. The filter features a resonance slider and outputs for each filter stage: low-pass, bandpass, and hi-pass. Both the cutoff and resonance have CV inputs, while the sequencer can progress anywhere from 2 to 10 steps, with 10 knobs on the front panel dictating the CV amount for each step.
If all that wasn’t enough, the FT-201 also features an internal clock, external clock input, and a sequencer reset in—meaning it can synchronize marvelously with almost anything.
While all of these features are certainly welcome, they don’t touch what is perhaps the pedal’s most intuitive feature: X-Y infrared sensors that emit CV based on the proximity of the user’s hand to the sensor. This makes the FT-201 one of the most tactile analog filters currently on the market.
