In all its rural splendor, Drum Farm contains 16 diverse drum models and algorithms you can use to synthesize virtually any percussive sound. Sounds range from time-tested tones inspired by legendary drum machines to open-ended algorithms that enable totally new sounds, blending the classic and the cutting edge in seamless exchange. Choose from the comprehensive assortment of kicks, snares, clicks, claps, cymbals, shakers, hand drums, and electronic bloops, each with decay and pitch control as well as model-specific X and Y parameters for deep sound design options. With a core sound created, you can then add further processing with the effects section featuring 16 real time effects, as well as bypassable always-on reverb and echo. Effects range from classic studio techniques for drum processing like EQ, compression, and distortion, while other creative effects like ring modulation, wavefolding, octave warp, and more allow for radical changes to your drum sounds.

Samples are recorded into one of 16 audio buffers, which are stored on a panel-accessible SD card along with saved settings on the module itself, making it easy to pick up right where you left off between sound design sessions. Up to 32 Session files can be created and saved, enabling up to 1056 total samples divided into banks of 16. Select up to 16 samples for Player 1 and a single sample for Player 2, letting you trigger individual samples, step through multiple samples in a pattern, and of course resample them to create layered tones with the drum synthesis section. Additionally, the sample buffer preview itself can be used as another voice, providing potent percussive potential.

Throughout all of Drum Farm's formidable features, you can readily integrate your modular system with it, featuring three fully-assignable CV inputs and two trigger inputs. Likewise, dedicated inputs are provided for triggering each voice, as well as a trigger input for recording into the sampler. Dual outputs make it easy to route voices in multiple ways to enable independent processing and summing alike.
