JAM Pedals The Seagull
Originally designed as part of their Pink Flow multi effects pedal, the Seagull from JAM Pedals recreates the classic reversed-wah effect, but is also a unique full range, cocked-wah sound (midrange boost). In the late 60s a wonderful accident happened when a roadie plugged in David Gilmour's wah pedal backwards: a squealing, howling sound that, well, sounds like a seagull. The Seagull faithfully recreates this accident in a compact form and with an alternative cocked-wah effect. Both modes have three distinct sweep ranges which you can dial in to taste, and there's a dedicated fine tune frequency control. The footswitch works as either a momentary switch or latching and a dedicated output level makes sure your signal isn't too piercing. This is an experimental pedal and there are a few tricks to know: this works best with passive pickups, there should be no buffered pedals between your guitar and the seagull—for this reason having it at the beginning of your chain might be ideal—and the tone pot adjusts the pitch of the wail. Slide this little bird into your pedalboard and unleash the sounds of chaos.
