Swells from Intellijel Designs is a vast source for classic and creative reverb sounds, offering multiple reverb models and plenty of patchable opportunities for designing dynamic reverb effects. Choose between a wide range of distinct sound characters, with nine stereo reverb models at your disposal including Fog, Blur, Shadow, Velvet, Asterion, Deadspace, Buckets, Ritual, and Gaze. These models cover everything from realistic spaces and lush studio effects to otherworldly and far-out sounds, letting you paint spatial audio images in full technicolor. In each model, Swells offers uncompromising control over each crucial reverb parameter like Pre-Delay, Size, Decay, Damping, and EQ, while model-specific controls Ebb and Flow allow for adjusting the unique characters of each model. Each of these parameters feature finger-friendly fader controls, as well as CV inputs with attenuverters, making Swells a veritable playground for your inspired patching and performances.

Reverberate in lush high fidelity with Swells' rich 96kHz 24-bit audio and 32-bit float internal processing, or flip the Lo-Fi switch for two levels of Lo-Fi character, adding degradations and other manipulations of the reverb algorithm for the warm and fuzzy sound of lo-fi devices. Also onboard are Freeze and Reverse effects, the first of which captures a slice of audio for infinite sustaining reverb, while Reverse flips the audio buffer to create unique backwards reverb sounds, with multiple time and syncing options. The Burst effect is capable of creating a wide range of sudden noise or feedback bursts, perfect for sudden drum impacts and other choice moments in a musical form. Also included is a Drive effect to add saturation to your input signal, as well as a selectable low cut filter for taming low end rumble.

Swells also features its namesake Swell generator, which provides a multi-mode envelope follower with rise, fall, and threshold controls, allowing you to derive useful control signals from the input signal, the output signal, or a dedicated Sidechain input. This modulation source is normalled to all reverb parameters by default, allowing you to create complex gestures and sonic transformations without additional modulation sources. Trigger the Swell, Freeze, Burst, Reverse, or Reverse synchronization with the assignable Trig input, making it easy to mangle your reverb rhythmically along with other elements in your patch. For use as a send effect, Swells also features a dedicated Send and Return mode.
