The Malgorithm mk2 is a wretched revitalization of the world’s first voltage-controlled bitcrusher. Improvements include upgraded controls and stereo operation. The module mutilates any incoming audio signal by deconstructing two crucial parameters: bit depth and sampling rate. Malgorithm differs from more traditional bitcrushers through its implementation of continuous, non-integer bit reduction, which submits the incoming signal to the full dynamic wrath of bitchrushed nonconformity. 

After the incoming signal’s bit depth and sampling rate is malformed in accordance with the synthesist’s personal preferences it passes through a digital waveshaper, itself governed by four illuminated buttons that result in 256 possible combinations of audio destruction. There’s a dedicated wet/dry knob with a CV input that is perfect for balancing the incoming signal with the disfigured result, and a voltage-controllable input gain knob that contorts the module into an auxiliary VCA. Finally, the module features 48kHz/16-bit stereo processing for shameless disharmony.
