Gieskes Dice
Roll your way to random switching bliss with Dice from Gieskies, a SPST switch that uses a vactrol-based low pass gate to generate sputtering rain drop sounds and switched signals of all sorts. At the core of Dice is a simple comparator circuit that uses white noise to output gates. This is passed through a low pass vactrol gate which can be adjusted by the main die control, switching more often as you turn the die clockwise. These random pulses switch connections between a 1 to 2 signal routing switch, letting you create randomly switching control signals, stereo effects, and more. Additionally, an audio output is included which sends out the switched noise signal, from a trickling rain at low settings to a cacophonous flurry with the lowpass gate fully open. As a compact and curious utility, Dice from Gieskies is a surprisingly useful signal router and unique noise source, shaking up Eurorack systems towards new patching possibilities.
