Cric from Future Sound Systems is a fully analog synthesizer with a patchable pin matrix, giving you experimental control in routing for complex modulations, adventurous timbres, and captivating sounds all your own. Cric's premium modules provide exceptional precision and a rich analog sound, the possibilities of which are greatly expanded by the modular nature of its pin matrix patching system. Comfortably suited for the center of your electronic music studio, Cric is much more than your standard mono synth, empowering endless experimentation to inspire new sounds session after session.

The primary sound sources of Cric are three flexible oscillators, named Scissor, +DNA, and -DNA. These oscillators, borrowed from FSS's unique OSC2 Recombination Engine, provide multiple waveshapes, precise pitch control, and comprehensive FM potential. Using the flexibility of the pin matrix, patch up an ultra-thick monophonic or paraphonic patch or get experimental with three cross-modulating oscillators for west-coast style weirdness. Process and tame these rich timbres through the competent filter section, providing multiple filter modes as well as resonance and FM controls. The filter section also includes folding and rectification for further wave mangling.

Modulation options are similarly vast in Cric, with multiple CV generators to get its many modulation destinations wiggling to your taste. Four independent function generators provide simple AD envelopes or LFOs, with variable response and output level, pulse output, and modulatable decay and rate controls. These generators are very snappy and extend up into audio rates when cycled, providing more oscillators for FM patching or as sound sources themselves. A noise source is also onboard which can be normalled to a sample and hold circuit for random CV.

Due to its four inputs and outputs, you can easily integrate other modulation and audio sources from outside of Cric to play nice with the rest of your studio. Process external audio through input 1, which features a microphone preamp and XLR connection. Whether you're patching up a bespoke synth sound, creating drums and drones, experimenting with feedback, or processing audio through its warm analog filter section, Cric from Future Sound Systems is here to be your central command station for electronic music experiments.
