The Fredenstein F609 is a 500 series tube microphone preamp that offers the vintage warmth that only a tube can provide. Powered by two classic dual-triode tubes (ECC802S and ECC803S) and running on a full +160V supply, the F609 avoids the pitfalls of starved-plate designs. With both Input and Output Gain knobs, the F609 offers plenty of room to dial in everything from clean headroom to full-bodied tube saturation. A VU meter provides visual feedback and of course you have phantom power, polarity reverse, a two-stage low cut, and a 20 dB pad to round out its functionality.
