Ferry Island Modular Beacon

Ferry Island's Beacon is a compact stereo pingable character VCA and LPG, with physically modeled vactrol response and OTA distortion. Send a ping and Beacon responds with the organic rise and decay of a vactrol, modeled from physical measurements of real components. Use it as a VCA or open it up in LPG mode at the press of a button and the LPG is modeled after physical measurements of real-life, honest-to-goodness vactrols. Further shape the sound with the Character control which uses harmonic topologies inspired by the Lab Series L5 and Aphex Aural Exciter Type B. If the default vactrol sounds off and you want even more control, swap out the firmware and get a different response with a different character. At just 4hp, the Beacon from Ferry Island is a beautiful module for filling in the empty nooks and crannies of your rack.
