The ESI U22 XT is a 2 input/2 output bus-powered audio interface. The U22 XT features an XLR / 1/4" input that supports +48 phantom power. The second input, on the interface, is a 1/4 in Hi-Z input. The audio card also features an RCA line input, with a switch on the back to change your inputs between the two sets. This means that the interface either listens from its front pair or its back pair of inputs, and that the back switch changes where the U22 XT listens from. The audio-card also features two line outputs and a stereo headphone output, both individually addressable via volume controls on the front. The U22 XT is a fantastic choice as a utility interface, great for auxiliary recording that sometimes needs to take place during a larger session.
