As with all granular synths, this playful pink device cuts incoming audio into small slices of sound ready to be rearranged into a gibbering mess, a lush wash of sound, or anything in between. This powerful processor works great on any audio source, and with the aforementioned radio, stereo inputs, or the built-in microphone, this all-in-one device has you covered no matter what form of sonic experimentation you're in the mood for.

Controlling your Evil Pet is a breeze thanks to the clearly labeled interface; you have controls that any granular enthusiast would recognize. Position shifts the playhead, Size adjusts the window of each grain, and Grains changes the density or amount of the granular audio generated in playback. Pitch gives you the option to retune the audio +/-2 octaves, with MIDI control onboard for external pitch control. Fully express your sound with the built-in Filter, Reverb, and Saturator via an assignable multi-effect knob, delivering everything from dreamy soundscapes to glitchy textures. Modulation is key with granular synthesis, and this Pet has you covered with a built-in ADSR envelope and three LFOs—and if you can't be bothered to assign parameters, there's a Random button that will set all your knobs to random settings, save the Mix and Volume, providing immediate inspiration.
