The Endorphin.es Furthrrrr Generator is a dual VCO module optimized for use in Eurorack modular synthesizer systems. Compared to other modules with similar objectives, the Furthrrrr has a couple of tricks that put it into a class all its own. The module’s carrier oscillator features a voltage controllable wave multiplier, and both oscillators boast two CV inputs (1V/Oct and one with a bipolar attenuator), FM input, separate hard and soft sync inputs, and a built-in tuner. When in VCO mode, each oscillators frequency range is 10Hz-10kHz; conversely, the frequencies are much, much lower in LFO mode.
The Carrier oscillator sine, square, and saw waveforms along with white noise. There are also two outputs indicated with a graphic of an eye in the middle of a triangle. These outputs are the endpoints of the module’s harmonic system, which utilizes the wave multiplier in tandem with its Symmetry Order, and Furthrrrr parameters to generate complex sounds.
Symmetry amplifies the odd harmonics while decreasing the evens. Order acts similarly to a lowpass filter in its application of saturation to higher-level harmonics. Furthrrrr manipulates harmonics in accordance with the levels previously set by Symmetry and Order. This results in intriguing, borderline bestial sonics with ample harmonics. All three of these parameters are voltage controllable.
The modulator features direct sine, saw, and square wave outputs alongside a dedicated Mood button that changes the waveform. There’s also a dedicated switch for activating LFO mode.
