EMW Distance Recorder

EMW’s Distance Recorder module is a distance sensor module that utilizes the principle of “optical triangulation distance sensing” to produce a signal commensurate with the distance of an object from the module’s front panel. The module is capable of recording and looping hand movements made anywhere from 5 to 30cm away. There’s also a “Free” operation mode where the module generates CV in accordance with the distance of an object from the aforementioned sensor. Additionally, the module features adjustable speed modulation, range selection, and in/out synchronization when set to loop mode. 

This is the BLACK edition of the Distance Recorder.

• EMW Distance Recorder Eurorack Module
• Based on a SHARP® Distance Sensor device, an electronic component that produces a signal proportional to the distance of an object to the sensor's frontal surface
• Optical triangulation distance sensing
• Record and play in loop - any movement made with hands or other objects in front of the module (Range: 5 to 30cm)
• Operates in FREE MODE where it continuously generates CV as a function of the distance of the user’s hand to the sensor
