Empress Effects Bass Compressor

Empress Effects' original compressor pedal was well-loved by guitar and bass players worldwide, known for its top-notch performance,and now they've come back with a compressor specifically for bass players, the Bass Compressor. The all-analog signal path performs exceptionally well in the low end, with a flat response down to 20Hz. Three compression ratios in conjunction with input and output level controls offer flexibility in the compression level. Set the attack and release times of the compressor to dial in its behavior.

Although it usually delivers transparent performance, add a bit of mild harmonic distortion of the tone+color switch. Sidechain the compressor against external signals using the 3.5mm TRS send and return jack. The sidechaining can be tailored to your sound using the 20Hz to 400Hz high pass filter. Mix the dry input signal and the compressed signal using the mix knob. LED indication of the input signal and gain reduction give direct visual feedback for the compression behavior. Perfectly suited for bass players or other low-end instruments, the Bass Compressor delivers studio equipment-level performance in a compact package.
