Across the panel controls of the xmax qube, threshold and gain settings can be set independently for each band. A single-knob time control adjusts the global response of each band's compressor. Control low end information with the low mono switch, centering anything below the adjustable low/mid crossover frequency to reduce mud and rumble in your mix that can drown out details in your stereo image. The punch switch dramatically increases the ratio of the compression, enabling hard limiting and other aggressive compression styles. Dial in the precise amount of band separation for your needs with the Varilink control, and add the finishing touches with the one-knob shelf EQ and soft clipper to tame and temper your tone.
