The Transmisser, from EarthQuaker Devices, is a modulated reverb pedal with an extensive decay routed into a resonant filter. It is everything but an average reverb pedal.

Consequently, there is nothing subtle about it. The reverb it produces is inherently spaced-out and lends itself well to strange, cosmological soundscapes.
