The Speaker Cranker, from EarthQuaker Devices, is a discrete overdrive pedal that affords some extra dirt alongside a subtle boost while subsequently maintaining the overall tone. The pedal is ideal for players who prefer to dial in their settings and play, without having to fiddle with knobs throughout their performance. Sonically, the Speaker Cranker imparts a tube-esque breakup or emphasizes an overdriven amplifier. 

The pedal’s functionality has been yolked down to a single control: “More”. SImilar to a tube amp, turning the knob dictates the amount of breakup. It ranges from a thin, clean sound to a fuller, compressed sound.
