EarthQuaker Devices Gray Channel

The EarthQuaker Gray Channel was inspired by vintage hard-clipping gray box overdrives. It offers two channels of hard clipping overdrive that preserves the character of the amplifier. The pedal expands its more traditional overdrive sounds by affording a larger bass response and clipping options. Concerning the latter, each channel features three clipping modes: Silicon, Germanium, and No Clipping Diodes. The former is inherently bright and features a tube-esque breakup. Germanium is more swaggered, with enhanced lows and increased warmth. The final mode behaves like a clean boost at lower settings, and reaches squelching distortion levels at higher ones.
