Controls on the Dark Cloud are simple and straightforward. Set a mix level with the mix control, and adjust delay time and feedback with their associated knobs. The Mod control increases depth of modulation over the delay line's sample rate, creating chorus-like effects. In addition to a bypass switch, the left switch allows for tap tempo control over delay time, with three tap divisions in each mode. Tape mode offers the characteristic saturation of magnetic tape machines as explored in the Counter Point, with synced, warbling modulation. Harmonic delay creates octave or fifth shifts above your dry tone, providing a rich tone control that reinforces your pitched material with consonant harmonics. Finally, a lo-fi reverse delay is great for textural moments, special effects, and more.
