CubuSynth Modular ConseQuencer

Control the beating heart of your Eurorack system with ConseQuencer from CubuSynth Modular, a touch plate-activated sixteen step sequencer with a flexible set of features to create traditional and nontraditional compositions alike. The touch plates along the bottom of the module are used to set the starting point for your sequence and initialize a step in the sequence, but can also be used as a playable keyboard for auditioning your sounds as you patch. The dedicated Touch CV output allows you to route the CV from said touch plates to external modules for even deeper control of your patches. In addition to the per-step sliders which define the frequency of the CV via the pitch output, there are sixteen corresponding potentiometers, which allow you to send additional per-step CV signals to the dedicated CV output for modulating any number of parameters throughout your system. This CV can also be routed to the sequencer internally, allowing you to modulate the clock and clock division controls in real time along with your sequence. Each step of your sequences offers discrete gate modes for creating dynamic articulation response in your compositions, including options for Hold, Trigger, Repeat, Random, and Off—providing all the controls necessary to create interesting, and even nonlinear sequences.

While ConseQuencer can certainly use external clock signals to drive the sequencer, it also comes equipped with an internal clock source for sculpting your compositions without the need for any external clock generators. The clock division controls allow you to select how many clock cycles the sequencer will skip before advancing to the next step. This division control can be affected with external CV using the Div CV input for creating sequences that feel unpredictable and organic. Keep your CV perfectly in pitch with the onboard quantizer, which lets you select from seven different scales for immediate results that fit the harmonic parameters of your music. For the more daring among us, there is also a Scale CV input for switching the vibe as you see fit. The sequencer itself has a variety of different behavioral modes, offering Forward, Backward, Flip (aka ping-pong), and Random, as well as an Off mode for fully controlling the touch plates as a playable keyboard. These modes can be switched in real time using the corresponding Mode CV input for sequences that feel anything but stagnant.
