The Cranborne Audio 500R8 is an eight-slot 500-series rack, USB audio interface, analog summing mixer, monitor controller, and mixer, all in a 4U/19" format. Add your favorite 500-series modules to get a comprehensive and modular hybrid studio setup that works great for recording, mixing, and mastering. The 500R8 provides plenty of clean power to comfortably use with up to eight power-hungry 500-series modules. The extensive connectivity includes XLR, S/PDIF, and ADAT, which combine for up to 28 inputs/30 outputs.

Each channel features XLR in and out, plus an insert on TRS. The built-in summing mixer includes a selection for level, panning, and routing. Record directly into your computer using your favorite preamps. Or go the other way, route your audio from your DAW and process it with EQs or compressors. Connect two pairs of monitors and control them with speaker switching, mono, dimming, and speaker mute. The analog headphone outputs feature zero-latency performance and plenty of power for monitoring in noisy environments. Connect to other Cranborne Audio devices using the C.A.S.T. system, which offers four channels of balanced analog audio over CAT-5 cables. The Cranborne Audio Camden 500 is a 500-series mic preamp that offers a wide range of behaviors, from incredibly clean to warm and colorful. While it offers some of the most transparent and linear performance when it comes to preamps, the two-mode Mojo circuit adds a bit of saturation to push your mix and add a bit of character. Get unmatched clarity and detail thanks to the custom "Camden" topology. This ensures stunning linear performance by extending the frequency response beyond the audio spectrum to achieve THD-N as low as 0.0002% and <2 degrees of phase shift between 50Hz-20kHz. Select between a mic input on XLR (with +48V phantom power) and the front panel 1/4" input with either line or high-Z behavior. The Mojo circuit features two modes, Thump and Cream. Thump gives British style saturation by boosting even/odd harmonics in the 160Hz-20Hz range. Cream increases odd/even harmonics while reducing the amplitude of the fundamental frequencies while also adding transformer-style transient shaping. Vary the amount of saturation in your mix to get the perfect balance of punchiness, body, and clarity.
