Colossus Audio Rasp

Rasp from Colossus Audio is a unique noise source with onboard filter and modulation, perfect for creating chaotic textures and crackles in any patch. Three flavors of noise, including white noise alongside both notch and band pass filtered noise, provide versatile sources of sonic filth for profane sonic experiments. Using the TXR switch, you can select between Squared LFO or Sample and Hold modulation sources which move the filter frequency of the notch and band pass sources, with a knob controlling the modulation rate. A Resonance switch is also provided which emphasizes harmonic content at the filter frequency, inviting pronounced squeals and screeches as the filter is modulated.

While Rasp is designed to employ all three of its elements together as a self-contained modulated noise source, breakout connections allow you to use each of Rasp's elements separately in a patch. A filter audio input and CV control, as well as a dedicated output and trigger input for the Sample and Hold source, extend Rasp's usefulness in any patching scenario. Ideal for noisy sonic experimentalism yet offering plentiful patching potential in any musical modality, Rasp from Colossus Audio is here to bring its unique timbres and powerful modulation to all sorts of systems.
