The Black Lion Audio Bluey is a FET limiting amplifier that takes inspiration from the classic 1176 blue stripe FET limiter used by countless producers and engineers including Chris Lord-Alge. It's the secret weapon of producers everywhere looking for top notch vocal limiting. The original UTC transformers have been faithfully remade using Cinemag's transformer technology. One feature not found on the original is the dry/wet mix, allowing you to dial in the perfect amount of limiting mixed with the original signal. Compression ratios and VU meter settings are both available on dedicated push buttons. Set both input gain and output level using the front panel controls, and the attack and release times go from super quick and punchy to smooth limiting. Bluey is all about the happy accidents that spark the creative process and lead to new and exciting territories.
