Ahimsa Stereo Formant Filter
Bizarre Jezabel Ahimsa
Ahimsa from Bizarre Jezabel is a multimode dual stereo formant filter with a ton of timbre shaping potential in a relatively small HP footprint. It contains both low and high pass filter functionality—which can be defined from a jumper on the back of the module—with each type able to be set to one or the other set of outputs. This means that you can get a tremendous amount of functionality out of a single Ahimsa, allowing you to process one sound with two different filter types, each with their own separate outputs for complex routing possibilities.
Ahimsa provides both cutoff and resonance controls, which can both be affected with CV to create complex, expressive filter movements. Each channel's left and right output both contain their own Q points, meaning you can define where these points are set independently from each other, and sweep them through the frequency spectrum as you move the cutoff. This level of control allows you to add wild spatial effects in stereo, or ultra-expressive, vocal-like filtering in mono. If you're in need of a versatile multimode stereo filter, Ahimsa from Bizarre Jezabel offers a ton of functionality for the amount of space it will occupy in your case.
