Benson Amps Deep Sea Diver

The Deep Sea Diver from Benson Amps is a unique blend of gated fuzz and PT2399 delay, with swappable signal position for each effect that invites you to descend into a world of tonal riches yet undiscovered. The culmination of a collaboration between the gain-wizards of Benson and Jessica Dobson of the band Deep Sea Diver, this pedal combines all the premium analog tones we've come to expect from the brand with a distinct artistic perspective. In a single footswitch design, controls for the fuzz and delay offer familiar tools with which to capture diverse tones. Powering the pedal with the footswitch depressed, the indicator LED switches between green and orange, swapping the position of the delay before or after the fuzz to provide even more sonic depth.

Under the surface, the Deep Sea Diver's fuzz stage offers a silicon transistor circuit that evokes a sound somewhere between a Tone Bender mk1.5 and mk2, pushing into the extreme ranges of these classic tones for delectable distortion. The Gate knob applies a gated effect to tighten transients and releases, providing tones from subtle to splatty. The PT2399-based delay offers a conventional application that has been tuned perfectly for the fuzz in either position. Similarly to the fuzz, a surprisingly versatile array of tones are up for grabs despite streamlined controls for Echo level, Feedback, and Rate. Holding the footswitch down, this delay will swell into sustained feedback at higher settings, effortlessly creating fuzzy walls of sound. Thanks to its diverse yet intuitive sound design options, Deep Sea Diver from Benson Amps will naturally draw in any tone seeker to spend ample time in search of yet another mindblowing sound - just don't forget to come up for air!
